This is a really fun, cool recipe to make! You use candy corn to make butterfingers! These are two of my favorite candies! It’s a super easy thing to do too!
You just melt 18 ounces of candy corn. Use your microwave and heat for 20 seconds at a time. You do not want too much heat, or to have it melt too fast. Stir in between each heating. It will become melted and smooth. Warm up 1 1/2 cups peanut butter first and then add to the melted candy corn. This will make it easier to mix. (Put in microwave for 10 seconds if you need to for it to mix.) Press the mixture in a lined 8×8 pan or 9×9. You can use whatever pan you like based on how thick you would like it. Line with parchment, foil or cooking spray. Melt 12 ounces of chocolate and pour over. (I use candy quick but you can use chocolate chips, just add a teaspoon of oil when melting. You can use dark, milk, semi sweet – whatever you like.) You can add fall/halloween sprinkles now. Another option is to chill the bars in refrigerator until that are not hot and then cut them into the size you like. Freeze for 1 hour. Pull out of freezer and can dip the bars into the chocolate. No matter how you decide to do them, they taste just like butterfingers! Enjoy!
