It’s a perfect time of year to make easy apple scones! All of the ingredients are in your pantry except the heavy cream and possibly apples!

Scones are really easy to make! You mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt together in a bowl. Grate the frozen butter and add to the dry mixture. Use a fork (or your hands) to combine the butter with the dry ingredients to make a crumbly batter. Stick in fridge or freezer while you mix the wet ingredients together.
Whisk the heavy cream, eggs, brown sugar and vanilla together. Pour into dry mixture and add apple. Mix together until moist.
If you do not have a scone pan, work dough into a ball and then roll out to cut wedges. I used scone pans and I highly recommend doing that. They are so easy to use – you just put enough of the batter into each triangle. I have 2 different pans. I like them both the same. If the batter is too dry you can add a little more heavy cream.

Preheat oven to 400
Brush scones with heavy cream and sprinkle coarse sugar – this is key – it makes them look so professional – and I love the extra crunch on top!
Stick in fridge for about 15 minutes.
Bake for 22-25 min.
Let cool for a few. minutes and drizzle with Carmel.
So good! Enjoy!
