Amish Apple Fritter Bread

I love Fall baking! Using fresh ingredients like apples and pumpkins are so fun and tasty!

This is a really easy bread to make. Simple steps and yummy results!

Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together and set aside. You will love the brown sugar in this bread.

Chop up your apples and toss with a little cinnamon sugar to coat. Save the rest of the cinnamon sugar for the bread. I left the skin on.

Mix the butter with the sugar and beat until smooth. Then beat in the eggs and vanilla until blended.

In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.

Combine the two bowls and stir until well blended. Pour the milk in the batter and mix until smooth.

Pour half the batter into a prepared bread pan. Add half of the chopped apples, then the rest of the batter. Top with the rest of the chopped apples and press slightly into the batter, then add the rest of the cinnamon sugar on top.

Bake in preheated oven at 350 for 60 – 70 minutes. You want the toothpick to come out clean. Allow bread to cool.

Mix the powdered sugar, butter, milk and vanilla to make the glaze. Pour the glaze on top of the bread.

This is a great fall treat to wrap the bread and give as a gift to someone! Enjoy!
