Summer is here! There are so many yummy ways to have fruit for dessert to make healthier desserts!
We decided we wanted to use peaches and plums. It’s a little early in the season, but I was able to find both at the grocery store. All you have to do is cut the fruit in half, get the pit out, brush with oil (We used coconut oil) and grill flesh down until soft (3-5 minutes)
The fun begins with what you top it with!! I mixed honey with chocolate sauce to drizzle over the plums, and I mixed unsalted butter with cinnamon sugar to melt on the peaches. I put the butter on the hot peaches and let it melt there – I did not pre – melt.
We served this with Confetti Angel food cake with butter cream frosting. The hot fruit was perfect with the cake. We did drizzle the chocolate honey over the cake too! Felt like we had to!
