Good for your soul

We went to New Orleans for our neighbors wedding! It was a magical event! The most perfect wedding at the most perfect location Southern Oaks!

We decided to stay a few extra days to explore! Of course we had to stop at Cafe Du Monde to try the famous beignets and chicory coffee.

They were so yummy, we thought it would be so great to purchase the mix and the coffee to bring home as a treat. When we returned home, we found out that Miejer sells both. Ha – so we can purchase anytime we want! Who knew?

We made the beignets after returning home and they they were amazing! We will be making these as a staple at the lake house for sure! We bought the Chefman Fry Guy from Meijer to use – it works perfectly!

I followed the directions exactly on the box. You do need to be in a good mood whenever you make dough – so be happy! The dough is a nice, soft, wonderful dough!! Roll it out and cut into rectangles.

Drop them into the fryer. We used avocado oil. They will rise to the top within a few seconds. Allow to cook and then turn over.

They will have a beautiful golden color.

Sprinkle with powder sugar and enjoy! They are so easy and so yummy! A great treat anytime!
