Have you tried the Worst Chocolate Chip Cookie?

I’ve been making chocolate chip cookies for most of my life. They are my signature cookie. I use the Nestle Toll House recipe – I’ve had it memorized for years and never have tried making any of the variations that I’ve seen over the years…until I came across this recipe. So many people were posting about how amazing it was – so I made them!

Some of the differences I noticed between the Worst and Toll House is in the Worst, you add maple syrup, corn starch and baking powder. The other ingredients are the same in both, just different quantities.

The worst also calls for melting the butter and letting it cool before mixing into the sugars. The other difference is you need to chill the dough for 30 minutes before cooking.

The next difference is with the Worst cookies, you need to let them cool completely on the cookie sheet when you get them out of the oven. You keep the dough in the fridge between batches. Because of this, it takes a little longer to make the Worst cookies if you don’t have extra cookies sheets.

So what did everyone think? It was an overwhelming positive result that these were amazing cookies. I’m not ready to give up my toll house recipe, but I may alternate between these two recipes.
